Join us for the first annual:

Restoration Retreat

Are you a therapist or helping professional? Maybe you are not a professional, but you are used to pouring into others. Maybe you are a stay at home parent or a teacher. Are you burned out or experiencing compassion fatigue? Join me November 1-3, 2024 for a retreat of a lifetime. We intend to provide a healing, educational weekend for caregiving professionals. We will explore the use of yoga, holistic medicine, and the power of faith and spirituality to create a safe space for participation to restore you to continue to pour into others.

Retreat will be held

We will have full use of a pool, creative arts center, yoga dome and glamping (climate controlled) tents to set us up for a weekend of education, connection and transformation.

NBCC Contact Hours: Mind/Body Applications for Psychotherapy

Up to 6 NBCC Contact Hours will be available for licensed professional counselors with a valid license.

Mind/Body Applications to Psychotherapy has been approved by NBCC for NBCC credit. Anna
Valentine LPC is solely responsible for all aspects of the program. NBCC Approval No. SP-4507

Description:

Holistic Health aims to assess clients from a “whole person-
centered approach”. Through an overview of neuroscience,

clinicians will learn the role of mind/body practices for
dysregulated nervous systems. This program will offer 3
approaches to mind/body applications to psychotherapy. We
will explore trauma-informed yoga, mindful
ness meditation,
and breathing exercises to help our clients learn to regulate
their nervous systems.

Objectives:

Clinicians will learn psychoeducation behind mind/body
applications to psychotherapy to feel confident to explain the
rationale to clients. Clinicians will take part in practicing 3 different mind/body modalities to support nervous system regulation.
Clinicians will have the opportunity to practice facilitating
modalities explored in session.

CE Opportunity: While the onsite retreat itself is limited to women, the participation for CE contact hours is open to the general public regardless of gender, race, religious orientation or any other identifiable factors. This means that as long as we have space, you are welcome. The participation for CE contact hours is still open.

Note to Participants: The same program, "Mind/Body Applications to Psychotherapy" will be offered again virtually in December if you are unable to attend.
